Ginkgo Argentum

Our good friend and customer from Australia envisioned a more monochromatic take on our Ginkgo model. To bring this vision to life, we opted for a silver matte hand engraving on the dial, complemented by a black rhodium coating on the movement to maintain a cohesive aesthetic.

The movement customization is extensive, featuring:
- Frosting and anglage on the barrel, balance, and gear train bridges.
- Polishing of jewel countersinks on the barrel, balance, and gear train bridges.
- Sandblasting on the mainplate and pallet fork bridge.
- Black rhodium electroplating for a sleek, modern finish.
- Grained snailing on the crown and ratchet wheels.
- Black polishing of all bridge screws, as well as the ratchet, crown wheel, and click screws.

The final steps included meticulous cleaning, assembly, lubrication, and regulation, ensuring both aesthetic harmony and mechanical excellence.

We finished the watch with a matching hand engraving pattern on the Delugs spring deployant clasp rubber strap!

Hand engraving is the oldest and most traditional technique for decorating metal, demanding exceptional skill and precision. A master craftsman uses specialized handheld tools, typically made from hardened steel, to cut intricate designs into the surface, removing tiny sections of metal to create text or patterns that appear carved from within. It takes hours to complete a dial from our master artisan.
