Project Shogun

This unique commission pays tribute to the spirit of Japan through a hand-engraved dial depicting a samurai in a calm, contemplative posture. Rather than capturing the intensity of combat, our artisan chose to portray the quiet strength, discipline, and inner serenity that lie at the heart of the Bushidō philosophy.

Entirely hand engraved, every line and texture was carved individually to create depth, contrast, and expression. Warm gold accents subtly highlight selected elements of the composition, bringing life to the armor while preserving the monochromatic elegance of the engraving.

Project Ice Ultra Guilloche

This project took considerable time to complete due to its complexity. The rose-engine-turned guilloché dial, crafted by Master Chen, is finished in an elegant blue-grey tone. The chapter ring is hand-engraved with our signature Anise pattern, while the natural meteorite subdial beautifully complements the overall composition. The movement features a custom hand-engraved three-quarter plate with a yellow-gold finish, along with a matching decorated balance cock.

Project King Francis

A few years ago, I visited the Musée de l’Armée in Paris. I have always been fascinated by the Middle Ages—a time of knights and kings that holds such an important place in French history. During my visit, I came across a half-armour made for King Francis II, its surface adorned with a beautiful hand-engraved pattern that reminded me of the intricate decoration found on certain samurai swords.

Years later, inspired by that memory, I decided to create a dial featuring a similar engraved motif. It remained in my drawer for months, waiting for the right project. Then, a client discovered it and immediately fell in love with its pattern and distinctive aesthetic. The most remarkable coincidence? His grandfather’s name was Francis.

Call it fate—or destiny.

Project Pink Gotham

The Gotham, reimagined in pink.

Its vibrant oxidized titanium dial reveals an unpredictable crystalline texture, ensuring that no two pieces are ever exactly alike. Paired with black accents and matching pink stitching, it brings a brighter, bolder personality to Gotham’s unmistakable character.

Project Blue Arabesque

A gift of time, a personal expression of love.

Commissioned by a client for his wife, this watch brings delicate blue and white arabesque pattern to life through Sơn mài Vietnamese lacquer, hand painted in our own Hanoi workshop. A strap handmade by @leacus_straps in Vietnam completes the piece.

Crafted with care, to be cherished for years to come. 💙

Project Naga

The dial captures NAGA moving through the water, surrounded by waves and clouds, with deep blue enamel contrasted against the warmth of gold. The more I look at it, the more details I discover.

What makes it even more special is the cloisonné enamel. Fine gold wires are carefully shaped by hand to create the outlines of the artwork, with each individual section then filled with enamel, layer by layer. The wires become part of the artwork itself, giving the dial incredible depth and character.

And because this is a Unique Piece, there will never be another exactly like it.

Project Enamel Cloisonné Mosaic

This was a challenging project, but the result made every effort worthwhile. Our client envisioned a colourful mosaic dial in cloisonné enamel, creating a striking contrast with the deep grey tones of the tantalum case. In this intricate craft, fine metal wires are shaped and positioned by hand to form tiny compartments, each carefully filled with coloured enamel. Successive layers and repeated firings in a kiln gradually bring the colours to life, building depth and richness. Every stage demands exceptional precision, patience and control—from shaping each wire to managing how the enamels respond to heat. Bringing so many colours together within the small canvas of a watch dial makes the work especially demanding, and the finished piece all the more rewarding.

Project Silver Tremblage

At the heart of this OAN.GIO watch is a dial hand-decorated using tremblage, a traditional engraving technique that transforms metal into a richly textured surface. With small, controlled trembling movements of a burin, the artisan gradually builds its fine, irregular grain—a demanding process requiring patience, precision, and careful control of pressure. Every gesture leaves a subtle trace, giving each dial its own individual character. Framed by the deep grey tones of the tantalum case, the silvery texture catches the light in delicate variations, while the heat-blued hands bring a vivid touch of colour. Together, they create a quiet expression of craftsmanship, inviting a closer look at the beauty of work done by hand.

Created as a commissioned piece, this watch was a pleasure to bring to life, and I’m truly happy with how it turned out.
