Hand engraving is the oldest and most traditional technique for decorating metal, demanding exceptional skill and precision. A master craftsman uses specialized handheld tools, typically made from hardened steel, to cut intricate designs into the surface, removing tiny sections of metal to create text or patterns that appear carved from within. It takes hours for our master artisan to complete a dial

The Art of Hand Engraving

Hand engraving is a delicate art form that offers the engraver complete creative freedom, enabling unique designs that no machine could replicate. However, this freedom comes with significant risk, as a single misstep with the cutting tool can irreparably damage the entire piece. It takes years of dedicated practice to master this skill, and even then, each creation demands patience and passion. The process is a true labor of love, resulting in intricately detailed, one-of-a-kind works that reflect the engraver’s personal touch and craftsmanship.

THE PATTERN INSPIRATION

Ginkgo leaves are not only beautiful in their form and structure, but are celebrated symbols of hope, strength, and resilience. In Japanese culture, ginkgo leaves  symbolize endurance and longevity, as ginkgo trees can live for thousands of years. In Chinese culture, ginkgo leaves are considered to be a symbol of longevity and resilience. In Western culture, ginkgo leaves are often associated with hope, peace, and love.
