In this exclusive series of four models, OAN.GIO joins hands with Japanese lacquer artist @keisuke.sano, whose mastery of Raden and Maki-e transforms light itself into texture.

Hand-crafted in Urushi lacquer and abalone Raden, these dials are not mere surfaces but meditative landscapes - each one reflecting the delicate dialogue between traditional Japanese artistry and OAN.GIO's contemporary horological vision.

The Occulus Collection

For this new creation, our journey led us to Italy, where we discovered an extraordinary atelier in the heart of Milan. For over a century, the Renzetti family has been crafting exceptional guilloché artworks on historic machines, preserving a legacy of precision and artistry.

Together, we developed a unique guilloché motif inspired by the majestic ceiling of the Roman Pantheon — its concentric geometry and diminishing coffers converging toward the oculus, a tribute to timeless architecture and divine symmetry.

We've developed an exclusive technique that adds depth to the design before applying the 15 layers of Vietnamese lacquer (called Sơn Mài in Vietnamese language), creating a rich and dimensional finish.

By working closely with master artisans around the world, we create timepieces that celebrate tradition, human touch, and cultural heritage—at a price that makes true artistry attainable.

The case is crafted with a refined elegance, featuring a subtle arched side profile that enhances both the sleekness of its appearance and the comfort on the wrist. This thoughtful design balances aesthetics with wearability, ensuring a graceful fit for everyday use.
We've successfully maintained a thickness of just 10.9mm, even with a 1mm dial and a relatively thick movement. The case has a 40mm diameter and a 46mm lug-to-lug length, making it exceptionally comfortable on the wrist.
The watch features a Chevé Box sapphire crystal. The primary advantage of this design is the generous view it offers of the dial, along with a sleek, thin profile for the watch.
The caseback is screwed directly into the lugs to keep the thickness as slim as possible at just 10.70mm. The sapphire crystal features a generously wide opening, allowing the movement to be fully showcased in all its beauty.

Our feuille hands (or Leaf) are made from steel and fully mirror polished. The shape at the base is inverted to give a "blade like" style. They are a true statement of understated elegance.

Our "Prestige" movement

Based on the renowned Swiss ETA Unitas 6498-2, our custom movement undergoes a complete overhaul by our precision partner in Glashütte, the birthplace of German watchmaking. The custom 3/4 bridge, mainplate and balance bridge are meticulously beveled and polished to highlight their unique shapes, drawing inspiration from vintage pocket watch movements and classical watchmaking. Adorned with gold perlage and Geneva stripes, it gleams with the same brilliance as the mirror-polished steel screws and ratchet-click system. The elegant handmade finishes make both the front and back sides of the OAN.GIO a visual delight. The power reserve is 56 hours.

Our Ruthenium movement

Our Ruthenium movement is based on the Swiss Made manually wound mechanical ETA Unitas 6498-2, runs at 21,600 vibrations per hour, 3 Hertz, and provides a power reserve of 48/50 hours. It has a custom 3/4 bridge and is beautifully finished with a triangle pattern and a ruthenium color.

Our Elaboré movement

Our Elaboré movement is based on the Swiss Made manually wound mechanical ETA Unitas 6498-2, runs at 21,600 vibrations per hour, 3 Hertz, and provides a power reserve of 48/50 hours. It is beautifully finished with Côtes de Genève decoration and blued screws.

At the heart of OAN.GIO lies a commitment to working with small, independent workshops and artisans from around the world. For us, passion and craftsmanship know no borders. That’s why, for the strap of our inaugural collection, we chose to collaborate with Dat Nguyen, a young and exceptionally talented craftsman from Vietnam. Based in Ho Chi Minh City, Dat has been handcrafting premium leather straps for watch collectors for years. His dedication to quality and his love for his craft embody everything OAN.GIO stands for. Our watches are assembled and carefully tested by our partner Amplitude.

Founded by renowned French watchmaker Renaud-Louis Chavanis, Amplitude is located in the vibrant Sheung Wan district of Hong Kong.

Renaud-Louis’s journey in horology began 25 years ago when he started learning the craft and skills of Clockmaking under one of the finest Masters in Saint-Etienne, France.

In 2004, he relocated to Hong Kong and embarked on a successful career as a watchmaker for Rolex, eventually becoming their Customer Service Manager for Hong Kong and Shanghai, resulting in 18 years of dedicated service.
